Arrive in Lanzhou from anywhere in China. Tuodada arranges complimentary station/airport pickup and hotel check-in.
Lanzhou is the only provincial capital the Yellow River flows through. Visit the iconic Yellow River Iron Bridge (Zhongshan Bridge), Baita Mountain Park, or Water Wheel Expo at your leisure.
Evening: Explore Zhengning Road Night Market for Lanzhou beef noodles, hand-grabbed lamb, and milk-egg fermented rice wine.

After breakfast, take the high-speed train to Zhangye (~4 hours), enjoying the spectacular Hexi Corridor landscape en route.
Afternoon: Visit Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park (shuttle bus included). China's only composite area of Danxia landforms and colorful hills — most stunning at sunset, rated one of China's seven most beautiful Danxia formations.
Evening: Visit Danxia Town, a Silk Road-themed cultural tourism village.
Night: Watch the grand live performance "Huidao Zhangye" (worth ¥280/person, included free) — a spectacular light show recreating 1,000 years of Silk Road history.

After breakfast, drive to Jiayuguan (~2.5 hours) through classic Gobi Desert scenery.
Visit Jiayuguan Fortress — the western starting point of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, known as "The First Pass Under Heaven." The fortress sits against the Qilian Mountains with snow-capped peaks in the distance.
Photo stops at the Gobi Desert's "Child of the Earth" giant sculpture and Emperor Wu of Han statue — capturing the vast "lone smoke rises straight from the desert" atmosphere.
Arrive in Dunhuang, check into the Moroccan-style desert camping base. Enjoy desert BBQ dinner under a sky full of stars.

Morning: Visit Mingsha Mountain & Crescent Spring — Dunhuang's most iconic natural landscape. Ride camels across golden dunes, admire the miraculous spring that coexists with the singing sand dunes. Optional: sand-boarding, desert ATV rides.
Afternoon: Visit UNESCO World Heritage Mogao Caves (pre-booked A-class digital visit + physical cave tour). Follow expert guides through millennia-old caves to admire exquisite murals and painted sculptures — the pinnacle of Buddhist art.
Evening: Free time at Shazhou Night Market for Dunhuang lamb noodles, apricot skin water, and roasted lamb.

Morning: Choose one of two options:
Option A: Flying Apsaras Photo Experience — Professional photographers provide Dunhuang Flying Apsaras themed photoshoot in traditional costume at Mingsha Mountain/Mogao Caves (costume + makeup + shooting + retouched photos all included free).
Option B: Yadan + Yumen Pass Day Trip — Visit Yadan National Geological Park ("Devil City") to see nature's extraordinary Yadan landform formations, then visit the ancient Yumen Pass ruins — experiencing the poetic "Spring wind does not cross Yumen Pass."
Evening: Board the overnight train (hard sleeper) back to Lanzhou (~10 hours).
